Settled in the 1840’s Prescott is the oldest river town on the Mississippi River. It’s location, where the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and the mighty Mississippi River meet, makes it the northern gateway to the Wisconsin National Scenic Byway Great River Road. The natural beauty of the river and nearby Kinnickinnic State Park, located on the St. Croix River give special appeal to nature lovers.
